“Living in Your Season”

November 24, 2007

Daniel 2:21-22

                         Season- a set time

  1. You are either in a season, moving into a new season, or just about to leave an old season and move into another season.  (Daniel 2:21-22, Acts 17:26, Ecc, 3:1, Gen 8:22)

2.   God puts passion, desire into you. (Ps. 37:4).  The frustration comes from where    you know God has placed the desire in your heart but you are not currently doing   what He called you to.

                   Desire- request, petition

3.   God puts us in places in life and you can’t get out of it no matter how hard you try            because He is preparing you for the next season. (Ps. 139:5)

4.   God first prepares the heart, than answers the prayer. (Ps. 10:17).  Promotion with             the right preparation always brings a right result.

5.   God has prepared the destination long before you even start the journey. (Is.          46:10, Romans 8:28-30, Jer. 29:11).

To get to your next season:

      a. Say AMEN to the portion that God has given you.  You have to first get to                    contentment.  (Phil 4:11-13).  Discontentment was the root cause of the fall: to eat of the portion God did not give them.

      b. Remember a lot of bad choices are made out of restlessness. (James 1:2-4)

      c. Patience will help you establish your heart (James 5:7-8)

      d. There is a due time if you humble yourself under the mighty hand of God

      (1 Peter 5:6).
